Been watching @official_itvvictoria and had to stop by the #italiangarden in #kensingtongardens run by @royalparksfoundation Albert had them built as a gift for #queenvictoria (there are little V&A’s carved in the masonry) I adore the beautiful #tazzafountain which looks over #thelongwater which becomes #theserpentine in #hydepark

Still in awe of the #aachencathedral ’s beautiful #mosaics. I was lucky enough to study it in my #arthistory undergrad. Aachen or #aixlachapelle was #charlemagne’s chosen capitol. He and the rest of the #carolingian dynasty ruled their empire from here.
